At Mango Hill State School we are committed to the musical and performing arts program.
Each week students have a specialist performing arts lesson focusing on music, dance or drama.
Students may also participate in the school choir groups. The choir performs on parade and enters competitions.
The dance troupes (junior and senior) are open to all students and perform at special events, eisteddfods and school concerts. Auditions for the dance troupes are held each year at the end of Term 3.
Instrumental music is also available for students in Year 3-6. The school has the capacity for approximately 80 children to be part of this program learning either a concert band instrument or string instrument. Students may hire a school instrument for their first year of the program. Students may learn a string instrument from Year 3 or a brass, woodwind or percussion instrument from Year 4.
We also have a school band and string ensemble which students are invited to join when they show proficiency with basic levels.
